Apart from hooligans like the Leeds Service Crew, Leeds has been spared organised gangs over the years. With the influx of foreign nationals eager to control the drug and prostitution trade, that trend appears to be changing.
Scotland:
Glaswegian gangs today dommand an army of at least 2000 fighters with more than 110 active territorial street gangs within the city borders.
Newcastle:
The city is run by gangs called the things like The Sayers. The names sound like bakeries but they're into armed robbery, blackmail and drugs.
Liverpool:
Liverpool's always been run by "families" that specialese in importing drugs into the country. Liverpool's Curtis Warren, now imprisoned, was thought to be the biggest drug dealer in Europe.
Manchester:
Based in the Hulme and Moss Side areas, Manchester gangs are the craziest, youngest and most trigger-happy in the whole country. Mac-10-toting teenage gangs like the Pittbull crew gave the city its Gunchester reputation.
Birmingham:
Right now the Johnson crew and the Burger Bar Boys are having a tiff about who controls the drug trade in the city. They do this by shooting each other on a regular basis.
